History and Finland
Finland's history |
Finland has been part of Sweden in 1500-1600 century. In 1800 century Finland was part of Russia.
The Finnish declaration of independence was adopted on 6 December in 1917 and the date is now known as Finlands Independence Day. Every year on the day of independence the President of Finland will have a huge event, and President invites there popular singers, important people from the government and of course everyone who have had some impact to the Finnish culture, nature or who just are really well-known in Finland. Citizens look this big ball from the TV and the next day there are always many headlines in magazines about who had the best dress and who flopped.
